GatherGrounds Resorts has successfully acquired The Oaks Campground, a sprawling 155-acre outdoor venue situated in the heart of southern Michigan. This acquisition marks an exciting new era for the campground, featuring a range of enhancements and improvements planned under the new management.
The Oaks Campground enjoys a prime location adjacent to Waterloo State Recreation Area, which is the largest state park in Michigan's Lower Peninsula. This prime positioning grants guests direct access to vast natural landscapes and a variety of outdoor recreational activities. Additionally, the property is conveniently located just eight minutes from the public boat ramp at Portage Lake, a favored all-sports lake perfect for boating and various water activities.
Next to the campground lies the Haehnle Bird Sanctuary, which is home to a diverse array of bird species frequently spotted throughout the campground, offering guests a unique and immersive experience in nature.
With GatherGrounds Resorts at the helm, several improvement initiatives and additions are on the horizon, including the revitalization of approximately 120 acres of wooded trails for riding and recreation.
