GatherGrounds Resorts has successfully taken over The Oaks Campground, a sprawling 155-acre outdoor retreat situated in the heart of southern Michigan. This acquisition marks an exciting new era for the campground, with numerous enhancements and improvements set to unfold under the new management.
The Oaks Campground enjoys a prime location adjacent to the Waterloo State Recreation Area, the largest state park in Michigan's Lower Peninsula. This proximity grants guests direct access to vast natural landscapes and a wealth of outdoor activities. Additionally, the property is merely eight minutes away from the public boat launch at Portage Lake, a favored destination for boating and various water sports.
Bordering the campground is the Haehnle Bird Sanctuary, which is home to an array of bird species often spotted throughout the campground, offering visitors a unique and immersive experience in nature.
With GatherGrounds Resorts at the helm, several enhancement projects and expansions are on the horizon, including the revitalization of around 120 acres of wooded riding and recreation trails.
