Vox Church Expands Local Outreach Through Impact Groups Across New England

Branford, CT – As part of its ongoing mission to bring the love of Jesus into local communities, Vox Church has launched and expanded a growing network of Impact Groups across New England. These groups are built on consistent service opportunities in partnership with local nonprofits, aiming to meet real needs through compassionate action and long-term relationships.
Impact Groups are not one-time outreach events, but rather ongoing commitments to serve alongside trusted partners in areas such as food insecurity, youth mentorship, transitional housing, and more. Volunteers from Vox campuses gather regularly to serve meals, lead Bible studies, mentor students, support expectant mothers, and build relationships with neighbors in need.
“Impact Groups allow us to serve with consistency and compassion,” said a Vox Church spokesperson. “It’s not just about what we do—it’s about who we become when we follow Jesus into the margins of our communities.”
Currently, Impact Groups are active across thirteen Vox campuses in Connecticut and Massachusetts, as well as through its online and Spanish-speaking communities. From Hartford to Worcester and Middletown to Greater Bridgeport, teams of volunteers are showing up regularly to serve at shelters, food pantries, community centers, and schools. Each opportunity is designed not just to meet a practical need but to form relationships that reflect the heart of Jesus.
In New Haven, a weekly Basketball Mentorship group connects local youth with leaders who offer both encouragement and spiritual guidance. In Branford, teams serve at the Community Dining Room and multiple food distribution sites, while groups in Greater Bridgeport and Norwalk partner with Hopeline Pregnancy Center to walk alongside women in crisis. In Hartford, volunteers show up monthly at South Park Inn to host Bingo Night and build community with residents experiencing homelessness. These are just a few examples of the dozens of opportunities available throughout the region.
Vox Church emphasizes the spiritual growth that happens through serving. Volunteers are encouraged to step into a rhythm of service that fits their schedules, whether weekly, monthly, or seasonally. Many find that in serving others, their own faith deepens and their sense of community strengthens.
“We believe in a gospel that moves toward the broken,” said a church leader. “Impact Groups help us embody the compassion of Christ, one act of service at a time.”
As the church continues to grow in its regional footprint, Impact Groups represent a tangible way for individuals and families to engage with their local communities and share the hope of the gospel through action. Vox Church invites anyone looking to make a difference to explore the wide range of opportunities available.
