The YMyHealth Podcast Launches January 13, 2025, Bringing Healthcare Stories for Millennials
The highly anticipated YMyHealth Podcast, a show dedicated to demystifying healthcare for millennials, is set to launch its first episode on Monday, January 13, 2025. Co-hosted by Melissa Schenkman, MPH, MSJ, an award-winning health and medical journalist, and Julie Woon, MSJ, a marketing expert with a passion for content creation, this podcast is designed “by millennials, for millennials” to help listeners make informed health decisions.
The YMyHealth Podcast delivers engaging, interview-style episodes that bring healthcare stories to life. Covering all aspects of health, the show addresses the unique challenges millennials face—from physical and mental health and wellness to navigating the healthcare system—and offers actionable insights from experts, advocates, and survivors.
“This podcast is an evolution of our brand, and we’re excited to be able to reach our audience across the United States and worldwide in more ways than we ever have before. It has been my lifelong dream to get as many people as I could to be enthusiastic about learning about their health and to understand what goes on 'behind the scenes' in our bodies so that everyone can be a full and proactive partner in their healthcare,” said Melissa Schenkman, YMyHealth founder and co-host. “We are honored to be able to serve our fellow millennials in this new and innovative way, as the health of our generation is often overlooked and under-resourced.”
The podcast’s structure offers flexibility to busy listeners, with short episodes released on Mondays and in-depth conversations airing on Thursdays. Early episodes will introduce the YMyHealth mission and feature interviews with physicians, patients, and health advocates from Generation Y.
Listeners can find the podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube, ensuring accessibility across platforms. The introductory episode, “YMyHealth- A Go-To Resource for Millennials,” will set the stage for compelling discussions empowering millennials to take charge of their health.
